This program is a 2 ½ hour program, two days per week on Thursdays and Fridays, that provides individual and group activities in a warm stimulating environment. It will encourage sharing, turn-taking, working cooperatively with adults and children, and independence. Children will have opportunities to learn through play by making their own choices to participate in various activities such as manipulating playdough, gluing, painting, cutting, coloring, etc. Through these activities they will become aware of colors, shapes, numbers, and sizes. We will also provide group activities where running, climbing, swinging, and jumping will be encouraged to help develop gross motor skills. The development of social-emotional skills and letter recognition are the primary focus. Development of cognitive, fine and gross motor skills are also emphasized.
